I’m still easily amused

I once recorded monologues of several popular songs to showcase how silly (or potentially poetic) their lyrics are when taken outside the context of a pop song.

Tonight I did a few more.

Justin Bieber – As Long As You Love Me
Back in my day, that was the name of a Backstreet Boys song.  Damn kids…
This one is a “standard” style recording.  Whatever that means.  Mockery, essentially.

Taylor Swift – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
I don’t know what I was doing with this one.
Some kind of drunk, angry gothic vampire maybe?  Blame the fact I was a few beers deep.

Ellie Goulding – Lights
This one is sad.
Maybe a bit paranoid.

Nicki Minaj- Pound the Alarm
I have no idea what any of this is. I guess it’s mockery, but it doesn’t take much.
The lyrics of this song are like Lewis Carroll’s diarrhea.

So yeah.  That happened.  Enjoy.  If you enjoy that sort of thing.

Again, I’m easily amused.

Oh, and the way I yelled at the end of the Taylor Swift song reminded me of this when I listened to it later on:
